Title : A Commentary on Approaches to Frame Relay
                          Encapsulation in PWE3
	Author(s)	: S. Bryant, L. Wood
	Filename	: draft-bryant-pwe3-fr-compare-00.txt
	Pages : 15
	Date : 01-Nov-01

This document compares and contrasts four approaches to Frame Relay
encapsulation over a pseudo-wire that have been proposed in the
Pseudo-Wire Edge-to-Edge (PWE3) IETF working group. This document
then shows that the general-purpose encapsulation previously
proposed for HDLC, Ethernet and VLAN is also the most efficient
approach for Frame Relay.

NOTE:	The mail server at ietf.org can return the document in
MIME-encoded form by using the "mpack" utility. To use this
feature, insert the command "ENCODING mime" before the "FILE"
command. To decode the response(s), you will need "munpack" or
a MIME-compliant mail reader. Different MIME-compliant mail readers
exhibit different behavior, especially when dealing with
"multipart" MIME messages (i.e. documents which have been split
up into multiple messages), so check your local documentation on
	how to manipulate these messages.
