how to reset byte count

Hi,

I'm using 'ip rule add to x.x.x.x realm x' to monitor traffic
to and from IP addresses. It works , but I'm wondering how to
reset the kernel byte count stats in /proc/net/rt_acct?? 

Also, after I delete my rules, the stats keep on counting, and
the realms still appear in the output from rt_acct.

I would like to be able to clear all stats to start over...
