I have a problem to include the DiffServ Patch  version 8 (ds-8.tar.gz)
with Kernel 2.2.16 (Suse distribution). When I patch the kernel sources
and reboot, IP packets are not sent through the network card. For
instance, if I ping to any known IP address, the network is unreachable
(but not localhost).

Any clue to isolate the problem?
