Re: [Linux Diffserv] prio and weight

Hello Alex,

In Diffserv, each class is given a priority and a weightage. The weightage
describes the number of bytes of packets that can be transmitted by that
class in
that specified period of time.
As u must be knowing that CBQ is a combination of WRR and PRR scheduling
mechanism. In CBQ
a class having highest priority is allowed to send packet first according to
its weightage and then scheduling is done from second priority class
according to its weightage. Thats how it goes!!
As u have asked that
If class A have higher prio then classe B but class A have lower weight,
 who would send more packets?
Obviously class B will send more packets.
I hope it must be cleared if any query is there pls. do get back....
Regards,
Tajinder
